What are the greatest challenges to women's and young people's health and rights?
The greatest challenge we face is simply that we do not get sufficient information on our rights, and we do not have the opportunity to "get involved" to access that information. For this reason, we do not have knowledge about what are our rights are and how we can use them. People do not give their trust to us young women to get involved significantly in the process of decision-making.
How are you making the world safer and healthier for youth?
I am participating as a peer educator with the Indonesian Red Cross. I focus on giving information to adolescents about reproductive health and HIV/AIDS. I also contributed as a youth representative for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Indonesia.
What are you dreams for yourself and for the world's youth?
I'm eager to get more involved with youth health and rights. I dream that more women speak out about their feelings, thoughts, and needs. I do not feel embarrassed to announce that I am a feminist, because a feminist is not a "man eater," but is someone who is concerned about women.
