|Thank U.S. Ambassador Susan Rice for Leadership on Human Rights|
May 13, 2009
On May 12, the United States was elected to the United Nations (U.N.) Human Rights Council for the first time, ending the previous administration's boycott of the Council. Susan Rice, U.S. Ambassador to the UN, reinforced the importance of U.S. global leadership "based on the strong principled vision that the American people have about respecting human rights and supporting democracy."
The Obama Administration and Ambassador Rice deserve recognition for making human rights, including the health and rights of women and girls, central to U.S. foreign policy and diplomacy. Call 212-415-4050 or send an email by clicking here (using your own text or the text below).
