Petition the White House for a Global Development Strategy |
|
December 8, 2009
President Obama and his senior advisors are currently preparing recommendations that will shape the future of U.S. efforts to reduce poverty, improve health systems, and create economic opportunities for the world's most vulnerable people, including women and young people.
IWHC has joined efforts with the Modernizing Foreign Assistance Network and other development NGOs to ensure that your voice is heard in this process!
Sign the first-ever development community petition to the White House to indicate your strong support for:
-
prioritizing the wellbeing, human rights, and empowerment of women and young people who remain at greatest risk of poverty and violence;
- fighting disease, including sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and HIV/AIDS;
- creating economic opportunity in developing countries, especially for women and girls.
We need 150,000 signatures by December 17, so add your name today.
