Françoise Girard Named New President of IWHC
Françoise Girard has a distinguished history in the global health and human rights fields, with a particular focus on women’s health, sexual and reproductive rights, sexuality and HIV/AIDS.
Girard will work closely with IWHC’s staff, board, partner organizations in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, international agencies and donors to advance its work for sexual and reproductive rights and health for women and girls worldwide.
Bomme Isago Association (BIA) improves the well-being of women and children living with HIV and
AIDS in Botswana and promotes their rights. The organization’s mandate is to institute an
environment that supports the needs of women and children living with
HIV/AIDS by ensuring that HIV/AIDS policies and legislation respect and
uphold the human rights of women and children living with HIV/AIDS.

fight HIV in Africa, and ensure that the world is a healthier more just place
for women and girls.
Support IWHC's long-time partner, The Society for Women and AIDS in Africa-Cameroon (SWAAC), which distributes and promotes female condoms.
