CSBR: New Voices Breaking the Silence
The Coalition on Sexual and Bodily Rights in Muslim Societies (CSBR) is a network which aims to pool the resources, energy, and strength of advocates across countries in the struggle for women's rights and health. Today, CSBR includes 60 members from the Middle East, North Africa, and South and Southeast Asia, including IWHC partners Aahung and YKP. IWHC has supported longtime partner Women for Women's Human Rights-New Ways (WWHR) of Turkey to coordinate CSBR since the network's inception. Read more>>

IWHC Partners Recognized
This year, CSBR, WWHR, and WWHR Director Pinar Ilkkaracan received the 2007 Gruber Women's Rights Prize for advocacy efforts to promote sexual, bodily and reproductive rights in Muslim societies and to advance of women’s human rights at the international level, as well as WWHR's work to reform laws in Turkey. IWHC Advocacy in Practice: 4th Asia Pacific Conference on Reproductive and Sexual Health and Rights, October 24-31
IWHC believes that young women need to be heard and have a place at the policy table. The 4th Asia Pacific Conference on Reproductive and Sexual Health and Rights (APCRSH) in Hyderabad, India, offers the opportunity to bring together a group of young women (ages 18-24) with diverse backgrounds and a desire to discuss and elevate their voices on the subject of HIV/AIDS.  From October 24-27, 2007, IWHC will facilitate a discussion and training with ten young women from the region prior to the APCRSH. Read more>>
