International Women's Health Coalition's (IWHC) Gifts Policy

In working to promote and protect the health and rights of women and girls worldwide, IWHC recognizes the need to engage diverse donors from the private and public sector. In both instances, IWHC seeks to work with those who acknowledge and act according to principles of good citizenship, social responsibility, and, for corporations, the United Nations Global Compact on standards of corporate behavior, and the principles of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative. IWHC also recognizes the potential for conflict between receiving donations from certain types of donors and fulfilling our mission. Therefore, the following policy is in place to guide fundraising practices and decisions to accept philanthropic support.

Policy

IWHC will not accept contributions from any donor whose core activities are in direct conflict with the values, goals, objectives and programmatic commitments of IWHC, or in any way limit IWHC's ability to fulfill its mission, purposes or priorities. IWHC reserves the right to refuse and return contributions from any donor. Under no circumstances will any donor dictate the programs or priorities of IWHC.

The use of the IWHC logo by any donor is restricted to uses pre-approved by IWHC, and partners are expected to make all reasonable efforts to ensure that IWHC's name and reputation are not harmed or diluted by excessive or inappropriate promotion.
