| With Everything Exposed: Cruelty in Post-Abortion Care in Rosario, Argentina |

At the suggestion of a social worker who witnessed abusive post-abortion care at a public hospital in Rosario, Argentina, two human rights NGOs collaborated to investigate women’s experiences seeking treatment for abortion complications at area public hospitals. More than 300 women participated in the year-long inquiry, many of whom contributed personal testimonies about their experiences of abusive treatment. The report, Con Todo al Aire (With Everything Exposed), was disseminated widely and adapted into a short performance piece for educational use with physicians and medical students. It was also used to press local officials to commit to addressing the problem in both medical school curricula and hospital practices. In addition, women participants in the study gained an understanding of their right to appropriate and humane health care, and the report and performance piece are currently being used to expand that understanding to women throughout the community.
