Putting it Together: AIDS and the Millennium Development Goals - Summary

Summary: A literature review commissioned by the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI).  Examines the impact of HIV/AIDS on selected Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), including lowering poverty rates, ensuring that all children complete primary education, reducing child mortality, improving maternal health, and curbing the global tuberculosis epidemic. The study shows that a key factor in determining whether countries attain the MDGs is their response to HIV/AIDS. This document is the summary of the full-length report that was published in September 2005. Full-length report also available on IAVI's website.
