Invest in Women. Invest in the World.
IWHC's Sixth Annual Gala, January 23, 2007
"We have to become more generous, and we have to become more courageous, and we have to be able to stand stronger for the weakest."
—Jan Egeland, former United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator
"These are matters of deep personal and social values, of the power that men compared to women hold in society, and of political will to do what is right and just, not only what is proven to have a high rate of economic return. "
—Allan Rosenfield, MD, Dean, Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University
