President's Council Co-Chair and IWHC Board
member Susan Nitze hosts a March 2006
panel on women and HIV/AIDS. |
The President's Council is a network of dedicated allies who, with IWHC, lead the way as a forceful voice for women and girls throughout the world. Members of the President's Council are invited to participate in discussions with international specialists, colleagues from other countries, and the IWHC board to keep current on international issues affecting women's health and rights (see a list of select recent events below). Council members provide insight, advice, and feedback to keep us well-informed and connected to public opinion in the United States. They advocate with the media and elected officials to ensure that U.S. foreign policy and assistance address the realities of women's health and human rights. IWHC periodically uses President's Council membership dues to make special grants.
President's Council members contribute $1,000 or more annually to IWHC. Members receive:
-
Briefings by experts and advocates from around the world
-
Invitations to exclusive events and evening receptions
-
Email updates offering an insider's perspective on our issues
