This Mother's Day, honor a woman you admire by making a donation that will support APAD, an IWHC partner organization that works with survivors of early and forced marriage in Northern Cameroon.
Through community outreach, APAD works to prevent forced marriage by changing cultural values. APAD collaborates with religious and traditional leaders, educates parents on the consequences of forcibly marrying off their daughters and encourages them to keep girls in school, and empowers survivors to tell their stories and demand change.
Donate to IWHC through our Global Giving campaign and send a card (electronically or through the mail) to a special woman in your life.

From April 23 to April 27, 2012, the United Nations held its 45th session of the Commission on Population and Development (CPD) in New York on the theme of “Adolescents and Youth”. The International Women’s Health Coalition applauds the results, namely, an international agreement on securing the rights of adolescent girls and boys to decide on matters relating to their sexuality and reproduction free of violence, coercion and discrimination, and to have the necessary information and health services to do so.
